Our Staff Sunil Nayak, MD Sunil Nayak, MD performed his undergraduate studies at Duke University and graduated from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1990. He completed his pediatric internship and residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he was Chief Resident. He completed his Pediatric Endocrine Fellowship training at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in 1997. Dr. Nayak joined Pediatric Endocrine Associates in 1997. He is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology.Dr. Nayak is a Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, The Pediatric Endocrine Society, The Colorado Society for Endocrinology and Metabolism, and the Society for Pediatric Endocrinology of the Rocky Mountains. He has been recognized as one of Denver’s Top Docs by 5280 Magazine. Dr. Nayak is an avid runner, skier, and golfer, but his greatest joy is hiking with his wife and daughters in the majestic Colorado Rockies. Brenda Bradfield, MSN, FNP-C, CDCES Brenda Bradfield is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Arapahoe Community College in 2012, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wyoming in 2017, and her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in 2023. She has been a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist since 2016.Brenda is a member of The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, The Pediatric Endocrinology Nursing Society, The Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists, and the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis, traveling, cooking and painting. Cara Newell, RN, BSN Cara completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Colorado Denver in 2018. Cara attended nursing school at CU College of nursing where she then received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In between both degrees, Cara worked at our practice as a Patient Care Assistant and as the Diabetic Coordinator. Cara is also a Colorado native. She enjoys spending her free time crafting, sewing, hiking, and traveling with her husband. Crisi White, RN Crisi started her nursing career in 1998 as an LPN in her home state of California. Since receiving her RN license in 2004, she has served patients in multiple acute care settings throughout the Denver area. She enjoys spending her free time with her son and pet bunny.Crisi is a member of the Pediatric Endocrine Nursing Society and 2023 conference attendee. “Joining the PEA team has fulfilled a lifelong desire to give back as a childhood thyroid cancer survivor myself!”
